‘I Am Living’ List ™

1999.

The year I turned 16 and the year Buz Lurhman’s anthem was released.

I loved it from the moment I heard it. #lyricsworthliving

I remember excitedly playing it to my grandad as he sat in his wheelchair in the bungalow he had been bound to for most of my childhood.  His big Irish eyes glistened and a wide smile spread across his face as he watched me enthusiastically speak the lyrics aloud.

Sadly it was also the same year he passed away.  His death had a huge impact on me.  It came as a shock and at a very insecure point in my life. Having only recently confronted my grief, I’ve started living with personal intention and I have become happier and more fulfilled as a result.

So here is my declaration; a list filled with big and little things that I dream of doing. Inspired by Sean Ogle’s idea that publishing this list makes you more accountable (check out his incredible list here), below is my ‘I Am Living’ List ™.

Grandad this one’s for you, I love you forever and a day xxx
